Build Catholic community in your friend group
Commonplace is a Catholic apostolate for community life. We believe that to be a Christian is to be a part of the family of God and that most of us are struggling to actually feel like we’re a part of that family in any meaningful way. We walk with leaders and create editorial resources that help people gather – in the real, nitty gritty, Jesus centred way.
What does a Commonplace community look like?
Every group is different but they typically share some of the following elements:
- 01Proximity (living in the same neighbourhood or attending the same Parish)
- 02Weekly Mass
- 03Regular gatherings for celebration & formation
- 04Roles for everyone in the community
- 05A shared set of spiritual disciplines and rhythms
We’ll help you shape something that works for your context.
How to build a community
Most of us get that we need community – the trouble is getting started. Fill out the form below and someone from our team will be in touch with you to create a plan for your community, unique to your context. After that you’ll have access to resources and strategy as you need it.
We believe everyone should be able to participate in the life of the Church as a family, not as someone trying to do it all on their own
